February 25, 2018, 5:08pm. Petty Theft. 21 year old Latino male, 53, caught on camera stealing $400.00 cash from an open, unattended cash register. The clerk claims he was distracted by the suspect, prompting the intervention of the Loss Prevention Officer. The suspect claims hed never done anything like it before, while the theft was executed expertly and without initial detection. The suspect was brought in for questioning and to recover the lost funds. While in custody, the suspect was questioned and strip searched following standard protocols. An understanding was reached by the suspect and the Loss Prevention Officer, and he was released without involvement of law enforcement. $400.00 value recovered for the store without incident.
